What an absolutely great experience I had with Preferred Auto Glass. From scheduling to the technician it was a positive experience. Great service, great communication and everyone was very professional. 5 stars! Thank you Preferred Auto!

Great and quick service!

The team at Preferred Auto Glass were great to work with. From the office personnel that helped make my appointment and coordinating with my insurance, to.Aaron and his partner who changed the windshield on two of our vehicles. They were fast, they were efficient, the cars were not left a mess With leftover residue from the installation. And the best part is everything was Crystal clear.

I chose this company because they had excellent reviews, were very responsive, and assured me they could work on my Mercedes-Benz using OEM (original Mercedes-Benz) windshield glass and the proper calibration equipment.

The windshield replacement itself turned into a much more complicated process than expected. During the installation, a plastic trim piece near my panoramic roof was damaged. Initially, I was told it wasn’t broken and that the issue would resolve once the adhesive cured. Unfortunately, that was not the case, and it became clear that the part had in fact been damaged during the installation.

The second issue involved calibration of the windshield sensors. Before scheduling the work, I specifically asked whether they had the capability and software to properly calibrate a Mercedes-Benz windshield. I was assured they did. After installation, however, the calibration could not be completed. I was told there were software issues and delays involving a third-party calibration provider. Ultimately, I had to take my vehicle to Mercedes-Benz for calibration, which the company did pay for.

To their credit, the manager and his wife were always courteous, responsive, and eventually made things right. They ordered a new OEM windshield, replaced the damaged trim piece, and covered the calibration costs at Mercedes-Benz. I appreciate that they ultimately stood behind their work.

That said, the process involved multiple visits, significant back-and-forth communication, and a considerable amount of time before responsibility for the issues was acknowledged. My biggest frustration was not the mistakes themselves, but how long it took to recognize and address them.

My advice to other Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, and other German luxury vehicle owners is to carefully consider where you have your windshield replaced. Modern vehicles are highly dependent on proper calibration and specialized procedures. Had I known the challenges that would arise, I likely would have gone directly to the dealership.

This review is not intended to discredit the business, as they ultimately resolved the issues and treated me respectfully. I’m simply sharing my experience so other luxury vehicle owners can make an informed decision.
